Poetry: Casted Away, I have.

Updated: Dec 23, 2023

So one day, it was over,

or perhaps, much before that,

and that, I think, I'll know never.

But the moments will stay with me forever.

Those long nights of wakefulness,

that echoing sound of our laugh,

the warmth of your breath over me,

completing my other half.

Your touch was the sun's golden light,

without which I forgot to survive.

Your gaze like a calm moonlit night,

my heart's only form of purest delight.

But those nights are of the past,

away I have to have them cast,

and though the time flew by fast,

yet those precious memories will forever last.
